Documentary on the lives of Eurasian Steppe Nomads.
The original Eurasian Steppe Nomads were Iranian tribes, from around 3000 BC to about 100AD, the next group were Turkish tribes and then Mongol tribes. Some of the Iranian tribes settled down and became the Persians and Medes. Some of the Iranian tribes went South and invaded India starting around 1500BC. Some Iranian tribes (Scythians Sarmatians) went West into Eastern Europe around 800 BC. Germanic, Baltic and Slavic people have high incidences of Iranian DNA in the male DNA sequence, highest in Poland 40%. Some of the Turkish tribes were the Huns, Bulgars, Khazars, Magyars(Hungarians), Pechenegs, and Kipchaks. There were many Mongol tribes including the Tatars,  the Khamag Mongol confederation which included Genghis Khan's tribe.
